Store Executive

Job Title:

Job Purpose:

To efficiently manage the storage, issue, receipt, and documentation of construction materials and tools at the site, ensuring availability, accountability, and compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Material Management:

• Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials/tools/equipment.
• Ensure materials are stored properly and labeled clearly.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels (both manually and in software/ERP).

2. Issue and Dispatch:

• Issue materials as per approved Material Requisition Slips (MRS).
• Record every transaction promptly and accurately.

3. Inventory Control:

• Conduct regular stock audits and report discrepancies.
• Monitor slow-moving or unused stock and escalate for action.
• Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels as per project requirements.

4. Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain daily stock registers, goods receipt notes (GRN), and issue registers.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly stock reports to the head office/project manager.

5. Coordination:

• Coordinate with procurement team, site engineers, and vendors for timely material supply.
• Support project/site team in planning material requirements.

6. Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure the store is well-organized, clean, and safe.
• Follow all company policies and safety guidelines related to material handling and storage.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of civil/construction materials.
• Experience in storekeeping at remote sites preferred.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and inventory software/ERP.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

• Graduate / Diploma in any discipline (preferably in Stores or Materials Management).
• Certification in inventory or warehouse management is an advantage.
