As an experienced Material Handling Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the receipt, unloading, and issuance of raw materials to ensure the smooth operation of production processes. Your responsibilities will include: - Overseeing the receipt and unloading of raw materials, ensuring proper documentation such as delivery challans, invoices, and purchase orders are in place. - Verifying the quantity and quality of materials received against purchase orders in coordination with the Quality Control (QC) team. - Issuing raw materials to production and outsourcing teams according to schedules. - Supplying raw materials to outsourcing vendors based on the Picklist provided. - Ensuring that storage conditions meet material-specific requirements, such as rustproofing and weather protection. - Supervising contract workmen involved in material handling and ensuring their safety. - Posting MR/Picklist in SAP for accurate record-keeping. - Developing and maintaining a systematic layout for materials in storage to optimize space utilization. - Conducting regular safety drills and training sessions for contract workers handling materials. - Enforcing adherence to material handling safety standards, including the use of appropriate tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
