Job Summary:

The Store Assistant is responsible for managing daily store operations, including inward and outward material movement, verification of documents, coordination with PPC, Purchase, and QC departments, and ensuring proper documentation and safe storage of all materials. The role requires strong attention to detail, coordination skills, and adherence to company procedures for material handling and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Outward Material Handling

• Check all outward documents such as Annexure, Delivery Challan, RGP, and NRGP before making outward entries.
  
• Ensure proper loading of vehicles as per priority received from the PPC Department (based on Job Card, Drawing Template, or other mandate documents).
  
• Identify and report problematic documents to the concerned person for timely resolution.
  

2. Inward Material Management

• Verify all received materials from vendors and forward them for the next process along with the job card.
  
• Confirm material completion (if all processes are done) and take items into stock after verification with the job card, drawing, annexure, and vendor challan.
  
• Ensure all received materials (RM, BO, LC, etc.) are accompanied by proper documents and forward the same to the inward gate for entry.
  
• Check received raw materials for weight, length, and quantity before signing off.
  
• Record and label received raw materials with SR Number, Item Code, and Colour Code.
  

3. Material Movement & Documentation

• Manage daily inward materials from various suppliers along with delivery challans.
  
• After SR completion, offer all received materials to the QC Department for inspection.
  
• Verify materials against templates, patterns, samples, drawings, and test certificates, and follow up on any discrepancies with the concerned person.
  
• Maintain proper documentation for all material movements and ensure filing for easy retrieval.
  

4. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with PPC and Purchase departments for returning rejected materials to suppliers.
  
• Issue materials such as Patterns, Dies, Jigs, Fixtures, and Sample Parts against approved requisition memos in coordination with PPC.
  
• Ensure rejected materials as per QC reports are returned within 3 days and inform PPC and Purchase departments.
  
• Check and send all RMD (Returned Material Documents) daily to courier or supplier via hand delivery as required.
  

5. Quality & Compliance

• Offer all Hack Saw and Sheet Cutting Job Cards (CM091) to the QC Department for inspection.
  
• Move all received materials to their proper storage locations after completing documentation.
  
• Support store area operations and assist in other related tasks as assigned by the Manager – Store.
  

6. Equipment Handling

• Operate and manage the crane for material movement within the store area safely and efficiently.
  

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Minimum Qualification: Diploma / Graduate in any discipline (Preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field).
  
• Experience: 1–3 years in store or warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment.
  
• Knowledge of store management procedures, documentation, and inventory control.
  
• Ability to read and verify technical documents such as job cards, drawings, and templates.
  
• Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, ERP systems preferred).
  
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
  
• Physically fit and capable of handling material movement and crane operation.
