Storage Engineer

As a Senior Storage Engineer will architect, implement, and optimize advanced storage infrastructures that underpin our cloud-native and AI-driven platforms. Needed hands-on initiatives integrating automation frameworks, leverage open-source storage tools, and employ AI/ML techniques for predictive analytics, capacity planning, and intelligent storage management.

This role demands deep expertise in enterprise storage systems, proficiency with modern DevOps practices, and a strategic mind set to influence our infrastructure roadmap toward a fully automated, scalable, and secure storage environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of scalable, high-performance storage solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Architect and drive automation of storage provisioning, monitoring, and incident response using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes Operators.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to develop predictive storage analytics and intelligent automation workflows leveraging Python, TensorFlow, or other AI frameworks.
• Storage infrastructure modernization with a focus on NVMe-oF, object storage, and container-native storage solutions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for storage infrastructure code deployments.
• Implement and enforce security best practices for data-at-rest encryption, access controls, and compliance.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and cross-functional teams in adopting automation and AI-powered operational paradigms.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging storage technologies, and AI advancements; translate these into actionable infrastructure improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven expertise with SAN/NAS, object storage, software-defined storage (SDS), and Hybrid storage.
• Hands-on experience with automation and orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes).
• Strong programming/scripting skills in Python and Power Shell.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts applied to infrastructure management.
• Strong understanding of data protection, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AI-driven monitoring platforms and predictive analytics.
• Contributions to open-source storage automation projects.
• Experience in large-scale, multi-tenant storage environments.
• Preferred certifications include HPE Storage Solutions Architect/Engineer, Hitachi Vantara Storage Professional, and Dell EMC Proven Professional Storage certifications.
