Role Overview: As a Statistician at our company located in Chennai, you will play a crucial role in supporting advanced analytics in the solar energy sector. Your responsibilities will include extracting and analyzing large datasets using SQL, applying advanced statistical techniques to evaluate project performance and customer behavior, and providing actionable insights to enhance operational efficiency. You are expected to have a strong statistical background and domain expertise in energy or engineering data. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze solar project flow, customer data, and operational efficiency using statistical methods such as Bayesian inference, distribution modeling, and descriptive and inferential statistics. - Write and explain complex SQL queries to extract, join, filter, and manipulate large datasets. - Develop forecasts, trend analyses, and performance reports for internal decision-makers. - Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to support data-informed strategies. - Perform data validation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness in reporting. - Translate statistical outputs into clear, actionable recommendations for business stakeholders. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Statistics, Data Science, Industrial Engineering & Operations Research (IEOR), or a related quantitative field. - 3+ years of experience in a statistical or data analyst role. - Strong SQL proficiency with the ability to write and explain optimized queries. - Effective communicator with strong data visualization skills (e.g., Excel, BI tools).
