Staff/Principal Backend Engineer

As a highly skilled Senior/Staff Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable backend systems. Your primary focus will be on working on high-impact projects, ensuring reliability, performance, and security while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your key responsibilities will include designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services, building and optimizing RESTful or GraphQL APIs, working with SQL/NoSQL databases for efficient data handling, enhancing system efficiency, reducing latency, and ensuring scalability, collaborating closely with frontend, product, and DevOps teams for seamless integration, and maintaining high code quality, conducting reviews, and mentoring junior engineers. To excel in this role, you should have at least 6-10 years of backend development experience and strong expertise in Java, Node.js, Python, or Go. Experience with microservices architecture, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), and Docker/Kubernetes is essential. Additionally, you should possess a strong understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc., hands-on experience with authentication protocols like OAuth2.0, JWT, etc., and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills are crucial for this role. Nice to have skills include experience in distributed systems & event-driven architectures, exposure to DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), and familiarity with API gateways, caching strategies, and message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ.
