About the Role:

Staff Software Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and scale AI/ML infrastructure for model training, deployment, and inference.
• Build and maintain ML pipelines, feature stores, and experiment tracking tools.
• Partner with data scientists and ML engineers to productize research.
• Optimize distributed training workloads using Kubernetes, Ray, or similar frameworks.
• Ensure reproducibility, monitoring, and governance of deployed models.
• Architect and implement a secure and self-service

  developer platform (PaaS)

• Drive container orchestration, CI/CD, service mesh, observability, and scaling automation.
• Build core services (e.g., auth, telemetry, routing) powering internal and external developers.
• Standardize service creation, deployment, and lifecycle management across the org.
• Lead large-scale technical initiatives and cross-functional architecture reviews.
• Write high-quality, production-grade code and conduct rigorous code reviews.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and senior engineers on roadmap planning.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across teams.
• Contribute to long-term vision for scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant systems.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in backend, systems, or platform engineering.
• Deep expertise in

  , or similar system languages.
• Proven experience with cloud-native platforms:

  Azure

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Istio, Kafka, and CI/CD systems.
• For AI/ML: Strong knowledge of ML lifecycle, model deployment, and MLOps practices.
• For PaaS: Experience with platform abstractions, internal developer portals, and infrastructure-as-code.

Nice to Have:

• Open-source contributions to AI frameworks or platform tools.
• Familiarity with policy-as-code (OPA/Gatekeeper), GitOps, or serverless architectures.
• Experience leading system migrations, platform re-architecture, or large-scale rollouts.
