Staff Software Engineer

Role & Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable ML systems, including data pipelines, model training infrastructure, and online inference services.
  
• Partner with Data Scientists to bring research models into production.
  
• Define and improve MLOps practices, model deployment workflows, and monitoring systems.
  
• Contribute to system design reviews and mentor engineers across the AI/ML stack.
  
• Build and maintain robust, self-service developer platforms (Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, etc.).
  
• Design scalable and secure systems that power internal services and external products.
  
• Champion developer productivity through tooling, automation, and platform standardization.
  
• Ensure high availability, security, and compliance of core platforms.
  
• Lead architecture and design discussions for complex systems.
  
• Write high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable code.
  
• Drive engineering best practices and mentor junior and senior engineers.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into engineering solutions.
  
• Help shape the technical roadmap and contribute to strategic planning.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  
• 12+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in a Staff-level or Tech Lead role.
  
• Deep experience in one of the following:
  
• AI/ML stack (TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLFlow, Kubeflow, etc.)
  
• Cloud-native platforms (Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, AWS/GCP/Azure, etc.)
  
• Strong system design and architecture skills.
  
• Expertise in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Java, etc.).
  
• Track record of leading large-scale projects or platforms.
  
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  
• Experience with real-time ML systems, feature stores, or vector databases (for AI/ML track).
  
• Familiarity with service mesh, infrastructure as code, or internal developer platforms (for PaaS track).
  
• Contributions to open-source projects or technical publications.
  
• Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance) is a plus.
