Staff Nurse

JOB RESPONSIBILITES

Provide pre- and post-procedural care for patients undergoing IUI, IVF, OPU, ET, and other fertility treatments Counsel patients on medication schedules, lifestyle, and psychological support Explain procedures to patients clearly before performing Offer emotional and psychological support when needed Ensure timely and appropriate patient care before, during, and after procedures Greet, wish, and introduce yourself courteously to all patients

2. Procedure Assistance & Medical Support

Assist in minor procedures such as TVS scans, follicular studies, and endometrial assessments • Coordinate with embryologists, andrology lab, IP coordinators, and consultants for scheduling • Handle consents, documentation, and records per clinic protocol • Perform vital sign monitoring, injection administration (GnRH, HCG), and blood collection • Maintain sterile techniques during all procedures

3. Medication & Injection Management

Administer IM and SC injections accurately and on time Maintain cold chain protocols for medications like gonadotropins Ensure availability and tracking of required medications

4. Documentation & Records Management

Maintain complete and accurate EMR records Ensure documentation of consents, procedure details, and patient files Submit IP files to MRD with checklist and maintain related registers Ensure timely PCPNDT updates both offline and online

5. Infection Control & Safety Protocols

Follow all biomedical waste segregation and infection control measures Participate in BLS, infection control, and QAI-related training and audits Maintain daily sterilization of instruments and autoclave usage Follow IPSG patient identification using full name and UHID Monitor and maintain crash cart, including expiry checks on medications

6.Communication & Coordination

Establish effective communication with patients and clinical staff Educate patients about medication adherence, nutrition, and post-procedure care Communicate medication errors promptly to the doctor and document incidents Coordinate with front office for updates on patient payment status

7.Inventory & Resource Management

Ensure required ward stock is available and monitored regularly Check crash cart daily for drugs, expiry dates, and stock replenishment Maintain sterile sets and ensure timely instrument cleaning and processing

• Patient Care & Clinical Support – Deliver safe, empathetic, and timely pre- and post-procedural care, ensuring patient comfort, counselling, and adherence to treatment protocols.
• Procedure & Medication Management – Assist in clinical procedures, administer medications/injections accurately, and maintain sterile techniques and cold chain compliance.
• Documentation & Compliance – Maintain accurate EMR, consents, patient files, PCPNDT updates, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and statutory requirements.
• Infection Control & Safety – Implement infection control practices, biomedical waste management, crash cart monitoring, and participate in safety audits and training.
• Coordination & Resource Management – Ensure smooth communication between patients and clinical teams, coordinate with departments, and manage inventory, instruments, and ward stock efficiently.
