Staff Engineer - Machine Learning

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop machine learning algorithms for advanced imaging features (low-light, next-gen sensors, vision & scene understanding).
• Build learnable image signal processing (ISP) pipelines for image reconstruction and classification tasks.
• Design agentic workflows and fully automated recommendation systems.
• Implement federated learning and on-device incremental model refinements.
• Work on model quantization, low-rank adaptation, and training strategies to optimize ML inference speed.
• Support deployment, commercialization, and system-algorithm co-design for improved ML performance.
• Lead research teams, driving innovative ideas and prototyping with cross-functional collaboration.
• Stay updated with state-of-the-art research and actively contribute to innovation.
• Engage with business leads and stakeholders to translate research into impactful solutions.

Skills Required:

• Background in color science and ISP pipelines
• Experience with object detection, classification, tracking, recommendation systems, Human Aware AI, RAW-to-RGB AI ISP tasks, Stable Diffusion, VLM, LLM, Control Net implementations
• Experience in on-device AI optimization, federated learning, reinforcement learning, imitation learning
• Prototyping AI solutions on Android/Linux
• Understanding hardware/system architecture trade-offs for power, performance, and accuracy

Education:

• Master's / Ph.D. in Computer Science or related Engineering field with 8+ years of AI Research, Software & Systems Engineering experience
• OR Bachelor's in Engineering/Computer Science with 2+ years relevant experience
