Sr. Engineer - IT applications

Profile Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Engineer / Jr. Manager Applications with hands-on experience in end-to-end application development across web, mobile, and cloud. The role involves development, debugging, integrating modern databases, implementing AI/ML/GenAI features, vendor coordination, change management, and ensuring SLA-driven support operations.

Key Responsibilities

A. Application Development & Support

• End-to-end design, development & deployment of enterprise applications (Web/Mobile/Cloud-native).
• Write clean, maintainable code using Python, Java, JavaScript, and scripting languages.
• Build UI components, backend services, dashboards, forms & responsive screens.
• Fix bugs, perform testing, and participate in code reviews.
• Assist in building mobile apps using Flutter / React Native.
• Integrate frontend with APIs & databases.
• Handle configuration, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, workflows & KT material.
• Resolve incidents, service requests & changes within SLA

B. Database Exposure

• Experience with SQL: PostgreSQL / MySQL.
• Exposure to NoSQL: MongoDB / DynamoDB / CouchDB.
• Understanding of cloud-native DBs: Firebase / Azure Cosmos DB.
• Writing queries, understanding data models & supporting DB integrations.
• Coordinate with Infra/Network/Security teams.
• Manage release cycles, patches & change management.
  

C. Integration, APIs & AI/ML Exposure

• Work with REST APIs & JSON-based integrations.
• Experience with ERP/system integrations.
• Knowledge of low-code platforms (PowerApps / UiPath / Automation Anywhere).
• Connect applications with AWS/Azure cloud services.
• Exposure to AI/ML/GenAI models & APIs.
• Build simple Python scripts to test ML models or automation.
• Implement GenAI features (text extraction, summarization, chatbots, prediction APIs).
  

D. Continuous Improvement & Optimization

• Optimize application workflows for performance & productivity.
• Conduct UAT, user training & communicate releases.
• Ensure compliance with data security and organization policies.
  

Key Skills Required

• Strong coding skills: Python, JavaScript, Java.
• Web & mobile application development experience.
• Knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) & NoSQL (MongoDB/Firebase).
• Ability to integrate REST APIs & handle JSON.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Basic AI/ML/GenAI understanding & implementation.
• Vendor management & cross-functional coordination.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving & debugging skills.
  

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors/Masters in IT, Computer Science, Applications, AI/ML or related fields.
• Aviation/MRO experience is a plus.
