Job Description

As a strong and innovative SMTS/Staff Engineer at Nutanix, you will play a crucial role in building the AIOPs Distributed Analytics and Monitoring Software for the Nutanix platform. Here is what you can expect in this exciting opportunity: **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for designing and developing impactful end-to-end features for customers. This includes architecture, design, thinking through workflows, use cases, and developing scalable solutions. As a technical leader, you will guide a team of engineers on large cross-functional projects and influence technical decisions. Collaboration with geo-distributed teams and active participation in cross-functional initiatives will be key aspects of your role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop scalable and high-performance Monitoring and Analytics software - Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance to the team - Own and evolve one or more services, guiding feature work - Collaborate with teams to drive product development and user experience - Translate requirements into high-quality deliverables - Ensure code quality through effective mechanisms - Incorporate feedback into the product in innovative ways **Qualifications Required:** - 7+ years of development experience using C++, Java, Python, and Golang - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent - Experience in building scalable, performant distributed systems - Proficiency in sync/async programming design, multithreading/concurrency, fault-tolerant systems, virtualization, and cloud-native paradigms - Solid knowledge of Linux or Unix environment - Familiarity with version control systems, build management tools, CI tools, unit testing frameworks, and scripting - Good understanding of RDBMS, NoSQL, database design, and web technologies - Experience with RESTful web services, monitoring systems, and end-to-end solutions is a plus Join the NCM team at Nutanix and be part of a dynamic group of talented professionals working on groundbreaking projects.
