You will be responsible for building the AIOPs Distributed Analytics and Monitoring Software for the Nutanix platform. Your role will involve designing impactful end-to-end features, writing architectural and functional specifications, and providing hands-on technical leadership to a team of engineers on large cross-functional projects. You will influence technical decisions, collaborate with geo-distributed teams, and actively participate in cross-functional initiatives. Additionally, you will own services, guide feature work, collaborate with support and Product Management teams, and mentor other engineers through tech talks and presentations. In terms of core development, you will focus on developing scalable and high-performance Monitoring and Analytics software. Your responsibilities will include contributing as a strong, hands-on technical leader, developing clean and reusable code, and working in an Agile model to ensure quality in all phases of software development. You will collaborate closely with frontend teams, Product Management, and potential stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality deliverables that enhance user experience. To excel in this role, you should have at least 7 years of development experience using C++, Java, Python, and Golang. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required, along with expertise in building scalable distributed systems. Proficiency in sync/async programming design, multithreading, fault-tolerant systems, virtualization, and cloud-native paradigms is essential. You should also have a solid understanding of Linux/Unix environments, version control systems, build management tools, continuous integration tools, unit testing frameworks, and web technologies. Experience in database design, RESTful web services, end-to-end solutions, and monitoring systems is advantageous. Your ability to write scripts and tools for development, debug applications, and conduct memory/CPU profiling will be beneficial in this role. Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages is essential. A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security, and demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline are also required.
