Staff Accountant

Role Overview: Renesas Electronics India is seeking a Staff Accountant to oversee the financial, accounting, and tax transactions of the company. Your main responsibility will be to provide accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of the business while ensuring compliance with all tax regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and review all accounting transactions for all branches in India. - Publish financial statements in a timely manner. - Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. - Compute taxes and prepare tax returns (GST & Corporate TAX). - Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements. - Provide necessary support to Statutory & Tax Auditors. - Ensure financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary. - Comply with financial policies and regulations, both internal and external. - Post journal entries, Goods & Service Tax, and Withholding tax calculations using SAP system along with the team. - Keep books and systems up to date. - Maintain financial security by following internal controls. - Understand company Budget, Forecast, and track with actuals. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's in accounting (BCom/BBA), Finance, or relevant degree with 6+ years of work experience. - Work experience in Accounting & Tax domain. - Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). - Hands-on experience with accounting software like SAP, ERP. - Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables. - Experience with general ledger functions. - Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills. - Flexible in maintaining tight work deadlines.
