Job Description

The Deputy General Manager - EE Qualification, in the Qualification Lab department, reports to the Sr. GM - Qualification. You will lead and supervise the electrical qualifications engineering team for new / second-sourcing / localization of electrical/electronic parts/components qualifications. Your key responsibilities include evaluating and prioritizing qualifications based on cost savings to achieve the highest possible cost reduction and generating standard procedures/processes and plans for qualifying electrical/electronic parts and/or components. Your job responsibilities will involve planning and scheduling the qualification of each electrical/electronic component to ensure completion in the shortest time possible. You will provide qualification plans for new / second-sourcing / localization of electrical / electronic components manufacturers to achieve maximum cost savings. Additionally, you will conduct tests on submitted samples, interact with vendors for necessary information and corrections, and report all electrical qualification status and activities to your immediate superior. Furthermore, you will create, modify, and update electrical/electronic parts specifications as needed, support vendor qualifications through technical assessments and on-site engineer visits, and conduct pilot runs to verify the performance of new parts in the regular manufacturing process. You will also be responsible for generating and implementing ECO, ensuring the qualification process is complete by updating the Approved Manufacturer List (AML), testing SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC Products, maintaining calibrated test equipment in the Lab, creating product safety test reports, and maintaining order in the lab. Other duties include ordering consumables, checking consumable stock, communicating with vendors for clarifications, and ensuring that all regulatory compliance objectives are met through active involvement with peers. Qualifications: - Education: BE/B Tech Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 10+ years of experience or Diploma with 12+ years of experience - Experience with power supply (SMPS / AC to DC / DC to AC) / UPS / Solar Inverters, including knowledge of their functionality and various topologies of converters - Hands-on experience in testing and debugging power supplies, understanding of electrical/electronics components and their qualifications, and knowledge of regulatory standards like UL/TUV/VDE - Hands-on experience with Magnetics/IGBT/Semiconductors components evaluation and qualifications - Design exposure on the above-mentioned converters is beneficial but not mandatory - Innovative and proactive mindset to deliver results This is a full-time position with job requisition number 009551.,
