The ideal candidate for the FAE-ANALOG / POWER position in Bangalore should hold a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputed University. You should have at least 5 years of experience in a related industry in India. Your expertise should include familiarity with key power topologies such as Buck/Boost, Fly-back, Buck-Boost, Cuk, and Sepic. You should also be well-versed in key control theory mechanisms including peak current mode control, average current mode control, constant on time control with valley mode, and boundary mode control. Additionally, you should have knowledge of Snubber design with an understanding of Magnetics and their parasitics. Your skills should encompass important power IC concepts like RDSON/drive requirements for different applications, compensation, current limit, ESD protection, error amplifier, PWM comparator, driver requirements and sizing, bootstrap, and LDO compensation. Understanding key DC/DC and LDO tradeoffs and design concepts to reduce EMI will be crucial. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Magnetics design, motor drives, and offline power, including power factor correction IGBT specifying knowledge. You should be willing to travel to customer locations to promote demand creation, both domestically and internationally. What You&aposll Do Work externally facing to build relations with customers and develop strong product road map and strategic creative backlog of products. Join forces with marketing to build business cases and set priorities for product development for the Motor driver product line to scale the business. Work with customers and internal development team to draft an initial product requirement (datasheet) by understanding the customer application requirements (electrical, mechanical, thermal) and defining functional safety goals as needed. Lead the feasibility study for new products in conjunction with IC design engineers and marketing and present the results to management to facilitate decision making. What You Will Bring Requires a BSEE or MSEE or equivalent with 4+ years of experience. Experience with automotive functional safety, automotive product qualification, high power or high voltage design is desirable. Knowledge of MATLAB / Simulink or other modeling tools is preferred. You are expected to have knowledge of Drives, VFD, motor controls, & modulation techniques for three-phase inverters. Experience in power electronic design & development for 1.5KV and 4000 A product lines is required. You will design, implement, and test new power electronic control software to meet documented requirements for power conversion products like Wind, Solar, Drives. Your responsibilities will include developing FMEA and risk mitigation plans, integrating power electronic systems into larger electrical systems, troubleshooting power electronic systems, conducting failure analysis, and implementing corrective actions to enhance product reliability. Awareness of UL and CE electrical safety requirements and EMC requirements relevant to power converters, as well as high voltage switching power supply test and development, will be part of your role. You will also be involved in test and debug of prototype and production power supply assemblies, design verification testing of completed products, and supporting bid and proposal activity by leading feasibility assessments and concept development. You will work with a multi-disciplinary engineering development team that includes controls engineering, power conversion design, mechanical design, control hardware design, and Integration / Test.
