Sr.HVAC Design Engineer

As an HVAC Engineer for our company, you will play a crucial role in designing, installing, and maintaining HVAC systems, particularly in the oil and gas industry. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and optimizing HVAC systems for oil and gas facilities to ensure efficiency, safety, and sustainability. - Conducting load calculations to size HVAC equipment and ensure optimal system performance. - Integrating HVAC designs with other mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for seamless functionality. - Implementing energy-efficient design practices and technologies while adhering to energy regulations. - Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards for all HVAC systems. - Collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to align HVAC system designs with project requirements. - Reviewing and optimizing existing HVAC systems to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness. - Providing technical support for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems. - Identifying and addressing potential risks and issues with HVAC system design and operation. - Assisting and mentoring junior engineers and technical staff in HVAC design and operations. Qualifications required for this role include: - Educational Qualifications: M-Tech in HVAC Engineering or a related field. - Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC system design, installation, and maintenance, preferably in the oil and gas industry. Technical Skills: - Expertise in designing HVAC systems for industrial applications. - Strong knowledge of load calculation methods and equipment selection. - Proficiency in using HVAC design software such as Carrier HAP or Trane Trace. - Knowledge of energy-efficient technologies and sustainability practices. - Familiarity with regulatory standards like ASHRAE and NFPA. Soft Skills: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams. - Strong attention to detail and project management skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in designing HVAC systems for offshore platforms, refineries, or petrochemical plants. - Knowledge of BIM software for HVAC system design. - Experience in system commissioning and troubleshooting in industrial or remote locations. Certifications such as LEED certification or ASHRAE membership are a plus. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits including health insurance and paid sick time.
