As a Senior UX/UI designer, you will play a key role in shaping the interface and interactions of our eLearning solutions - balancing creativity, and usability. As part of a cross-functional team, you will collaborate with instructional designers, developers, SMEs, and visual designers to ensure every learning experience is intuitive, impactful, and visually appealing. Work closely with Associate Design Manager+ to create quality design products and deliverables for the design division at Aptara.
Skills:
- Expert in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools to create high-fidelity prototypes.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design, responsive design principles, and accessibility compliance (WCAG).
- Strong understanding of HTML/CSS fundamentals (coding not mandatory, but a plus)
- Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics, detail, and branding consistency. Experience designing interfaces that align with learning objectives and work seamlessly across devices and platforms.
- Skilled in user research, persona development, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Experience creating and maintaining design documentation, including style guides, pattern libraries, and design systems.
- Ensure all design assets are well-organized and accessible for cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Work effectively in Agile or cross-functional team environments, supporting smooth handoffs and iterations.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Conduct training sessions for team members to align with evolving industry and technology trends.
- Stay updated with the latest tools, techniques, and design trends in the UX/UI and eLearning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the UX/UI design of web-based and mobile eLearning modules, simulations, and platforms. Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs tailored for learners.
- Develop design concepts, low-fidelity wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes for mobile and web products using Figma, XD.
- Design interfaces that support different learning strategies like gamification, scenario-based learning, microlearning, etc.
- Ensure designs are WCAG-compliant and accessible for diverse learner groups.
- Collaborate with Instructional Designers and Developers to align design with learning goals and tech capabilities.
- Conduct user research, persona creation, journey mapping, and usability testing. • Establish and maintain design-specific design systems, templates, and UI kits.
- Participate in pre-sales activities and create prototypes/pilots as per clients specifications and requirements.
- Flexible to work on eLearning products and rapid tool development.
- Participate in QA activities and org level activities.
- Stay current with UX trends in digital learning, tools like Storyline, Rise, or Lectora, and explore integration of AI tools.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to team knowledge sharing and process improvement
