Job Description

As a Procurement Specialist at Micron Technology, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process for Capital, Spares, and Services to ensure the seamless operation of our network. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing the procurement process for Capital, Spares, and Services to meet the network capacity requirement on time. - Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers and maintaining collaborative relationships with them. - Performing commercial supplier qualification activities to ensure the commercial development of strategic suppliers. - Ensuring suppliers comply with Micron's code-of-conduct programs and corporate social responsibility initiatives. - Communicating key supplier management updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization. - Leading and driving localization activities, ranging from goods to services. - Identifying and implementing Supplier-Related Savings Levers using data and should-cost models to drive cost improvement. - Serving as the subject matter expert for suppliers and sharing knowledge with key stakeholders. - Leading negotiations with suppliers for contract extensions and renewals. - Developing a contract strategy for managed suppliers and creating, negotiating, monitoring, and enforcing contracted terms and conditions. - Working with suppliers for continuous improvement on Capacity and Lead time. - Collaborating internally to drive and develop key performance measures/metrics for Strategic Suppliers and monitoring supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement. - Identifying and working on productivity improvement initiatives.
