is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer / Programmer who will be part of the development team responsible for understanding, defining, analyzing and coding tools and utilities which has many internal and external users.

We are seeking a Full Stack Java Developer with experience (5 years) specific to Web Application development in Java/J2EE programming (with UI/UX experience in React 18 and above).

The candidate must have good knowledge and experience on object-oriented programming (OOP) while supporting, leading, and training in software management use with little or no direction. This would include all aspects such as analyzing, designing, coding and unit testing core modules of the new Online application and working with a global team of developers, SMEs and architects. The candidate would be a part of a high-performance global team responsible for the delivery of features in Visa Client Product Test Tool application. As a key member of the delivery execution team, candidate would need to create scalable designs, write maintainable code, reusable components/services/utilities, and test cases. Qualifications include good organizational skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good time management skills, ability to work independently, and effectively communicate with team members. The candidate must be capable of working in all phases of the application system development life cycle. The successful candidate will become a recognized Subject Matter Expert within Visa, responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of Visa Client Product Test Tool application.

You will use technologies that include Java 8 and above, REST, MySQL, Spring Boot v5.0, React 18 and above
You will analyze business requirements and architect a solution that is robust and scalable along with providing technical documentation of solution
You will leverage on new technologies to build the next generation of Payments ecosystem services
You will develop and deliver new features every few weeks and be responsible for them end-end
You have the work and academic experience that will demonstrate proficiency and ease with programming languages, code quality initiatives, scripting languages and operating systems
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and above all, you are a team player!

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
Experience: 3 years of Full Stack Java Development in a containerized microservices architecture using Java/Spring Boot, with strong UI/UX development experience in React JS Microservices & Cloud: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS Frontend Development: React 18+ and HTML5/CSS (knowledge of web page design is a plus) Backend Development: - Java EE Framework: Java 17+ and Spring Boot - ORM Framework: Hibernate - Database: MySQL and MongoDB (Open Source) - Application Server: Spring Boot - Web Server: JBOSS Web Server Development Tools & Platforms: - IDEs: VS Code, IntelliJ - Repository: GitHub - Issue Tracking: JIRA - CI/CD: Jenkins Additional Skills: Strong knowledge of open-source web development tools and modern software engineering practices
