A Site Supervisor (often referred to as a Construction Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations at a construction site or project location. Their primary role is to ensure that construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Reports To: Project Manager or Site Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Supervision:
• Oversee day-to-day site operations.
• Coordinate and supervise workers, subcontractors, and material deliveries.
• Ensure adherence to construction plans, schedules, and specifications.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure the site meets legal and organizational safety standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
• Quality Control:
• Monitor workmanship and quality of materials used.
• Identify and rectify issues on-site to prevent defects and delays.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain daily site records, including work progress, incidents, and inspections.
• Report progress to the Project Manager and provide input during meetings.
• Resource Management:
• Manage equipment and material inventory.
• Ensure efficient use of labour and materials on-site.
• Stakeholder Coordination:
• Liaise with engineers, architects, and clients as needed.
• Communicate any site-related issues or updates to relevant parties.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience: 2–5 years in a supervisory role in construction or engineering projects.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Proficient in reading construction drawings and plans
• Familiar with construction software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project)

Working Conditions:

• Full-time, primarily on-site.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and construction hazards.
• May involve extended hours or weekends based on project demands.
