Job Title: Sr. Server Administrator (SQL DBA) Location: Chennai Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Server Administrator to manage and optimize our database environments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in MS SQL Server Administration , performance tuning, and high-availability solutions. Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain SQL Server databases across development, testing, and production environments. Monitor system health, performance, availability, and security of databases. Manage database privileges, permissions, and user access control. Collaborate with developers to optimize queries and enhance performance . Conduct periodic reviews and recommend process improvements . Implement and manage high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions . Use native tools to identify and resolve performance issues, deadlocks, and contention. Develop and implement backup, restoration, and replication strategies . Perform scheduled maintenance and support deployment activities outside business hours. Ensure best practices in SQL Server architecture, documentation, and security . Provide 24x7 operational support and troubleshoot issues independently. Required Skills & Qualifications: 4+ years of hands-on experience as an MS SQL Server Administrator. Professional certifications in SQL Server (preferred). Strong expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting . Experience with HA & DR configuration and management . Ability to learn and implement new technologies quickly.
