Role Overview: As a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer at Softices Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., you will lead the development of high-quality, scalable web applications and ensure a robust backend architecture. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate closely with clients and project stakeholders to understand, analyze, and document business and technical requirements. - Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions using Ruby on Rails within agreed timelines. - Conduct thorough testing, including unit testing and integration testing, to ensure the accuracy and reliability of deliverables. - Maintain effective and proactive communication with clients, team members, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster a culture of growth and collaboration. - Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance development processes. - Contribute to project documentation, including system designs, technical specifications, and test cases. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. - Proficiency in Ruby Programming and Ruby on Rails Framework. - Experience in Database Management with PostgreSQL and MySQL. - Familiarity with Deployment and Hosting platforms like AWS, Heroku, and DigitalOcean. - Knowledge of Asynchronous Processing tools such as Sidekiq, Resque, and Delayed Job. - Understanding of Version Control Systems like Git. - Hands-on experience with Front-End Technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Vue.js, and Angular. - Familiarity with Testing Frameworks like RSpec and Minitest. - Experience in API Development with RESTful APIs and GraphQL. - Knowledge of Containerization & Deployment tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Heroku, and DigitalOcean. - Familiarity with Task Queues & Background Jobs using Sidekiq, Resque, and Delayed Job. - Experience with Package Management tools like RubyGems and Bundler. - Proficiency in Project Management Tools like Jira, Trello, and Asana. - Understanding of CI/CD Tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI/CD.
