As a functional tester, your role will involve demonstrating exceptional testing abilities, with a strong emphasis on identifying and addressing edge cases. It is crucial to ensure comprehensive test coverage to maintain high-quality standards and prevent potential issues. Writing detailed test cases to thoroughly evaluate software functionality and meticulously documenting defects, tracking them through to resolution are key responsibilities. Your active participation in grooming and planning sessions is expected, providing estimates for test activities. Developing and maintaining test plans to guide the testing process is also part of your responsibilities. Taking ownership of releases and ensuring that all functional testing requirements are met is crucial to the success of the projects. Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrate exceptional functional testing abilities, with a focus on identifying and addressing edge cases - Ensure comprehensive test coverage to maintain high-quality standards - Write detailed test cases and meticulously document defects - Provide estimates for test activities in grooming and planning sessions - Develop and maintain test plans to guide the testing process - Take ownership of releases and ensure all functional testing requirements are met Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in automation testing - Experience in writing test automation scripts for web applications and web services - Good understanding of JIRA and XRAY or similar test management tools - Hands-on experience in JavaScript and strong understanding of Selenium or other automation tools - Familiarity with testing frameworks like Xunit and API testing and automation - Prior experience in testing conversational chatbot applications - Experience working within Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, you are expected to possess a strong testing mindset with meticulous attention to detail. Good understanding of object-oriented design principles and best practices of automation scripting is necessary. Proactively providing inputs during grooming sessions based on design/implementation options and staying up to date on the latest technology developments are also expected. Your willingness to learn and share your knowledge with the community, as well as mentor and guide junior team members, is highly valued. Previous work experience in the finance domain is considered a plus.,
