Sr. Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer (Engineer / Sr. Engineer) at AspenTech, your responsibility is the engineering delivery of solutions using AspenTech's Digital Grid Management (DGM) products to leading utilities worldwide. This involves end-to-end delivery of SCADA/EMS/GMS/ADMS projects using the monarch platform, including planning, design, integration, testing, training, and commissioning at site. Your impact will be in assessing technical requirements, understanding project needs, designing and implementing solutions, and ensuring on-time project delivery. - Assess technical requirements for projects, evaluate risks, and develop mitigation plans. - Interact with customers and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and define appropriate solutions. - Design, plan, integrate, test, and commission software requirements using AspenTech / Monarch products on customer systems. - Prepare project documentation including Functional design, Test procedures, User guides, and Maintenance procedures. - Perform software and systems installation, integration, and functional testing for SCADA, Web platform, CHRONUS Enterprise Historian, and other functionalities. - Provide training to customers on OSI products like SCADA, FEP, Web platform, ICCP. - Ensure on-time delivery of projects and mitigate risks to prevent additional costs. Qualifications Required: - Experience in utility SCADA operations; relevant industry experience will also be considered. - Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or equivalent. - Knowledge of database and displays creation, integration of RTUs over IEC104 / IEC101 / DNP3 protocols, and establishing ICCP connections between control centers. - Familiarity with configuration of SCADA software packages, RDBMS databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, ODBC), and report generation. - Understanding of computer architectures, networking, databases, and operating systems. - Willingness to travel to domestic and international customer sites (approximately 20% travel) with flexibility as discussed during the interview process. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on quality. - Preferred understanding of the software project delivery lifecycle, networking principles, TCP/IP, routing principles, and Enterprise Historians like eDNA, OSI PI Soft, CHRONUS, among others. - Experience with computer programming languages such as C#, Python, or similar is preferred.,
