Sr PHP Developer

You are a skilled Senior PHP Developer with over 5 years of experience in API development, server setup, and deployments. For a short-term project located in Ivory Coast, Africa, you will be required to work onsite for 45 days before transitioning to remote work. During your time in Africa, you will collaborate closely with the team to establish and deploy PHP-based applications. All expenses, including travel, accommodation, and daily expenses, will be covered by the company. Your key responsibilities will include developing and optimizing RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications, setting up PHP servers, managing server configurations, security, and deployments, as well as deploying and maintaining PHP applications in a production environment. Collaboration with the team to ensure seamless project execution, troubleshooting and resolving performance and security issues, and maintaining code quality, best practices, and scalability are also important aspects of this role. To be successful in this position, you should possess at least 5 years of PHP development experience and have strong expertise in frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony. Experience with API development, third-party integrations, server setup, deployment, and cloud services (e.g., AWS, DigitalOcean), as well as knowledge of Linux servers, Nginx/Apache, MySQL, and security best practices are essential. Proficiency in Git, CI/CD, and Docker would be advantageous. Your ability to work independently and adapt to an onsite working environment, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to tasks will be valuable assets in this role. The project duration is 45 days onsite in Ivory Coast, Africa, followed by a remote position within the company.
