Sr Pediatrician | VSH

We are seeking a caring and experienced Pediatrician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to children from infancy through adolescence. You will work closely with parents, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure a safe and healthy development journey for every child.

Roles Responsibilities:

• Examine and diagnose illnesses, injuries, and developmental issues in children

• Prescribe and administer treatments, medications, and vaccinations

• Monitor patient growth and development through regular check-ups

• Provide parents with guidance on nutrition, safety, hygiene, and disease prevention

• Maintain accurate medical records and document patient history

• Refer patients to pediatric specialists or other physicians when necessary

• Collaborate with nurses and healthcare teams to deliver holistic care

• Stay up to date on advancements in pediatric medicine and public health

• Respond to medical emergencies and provide timely care

• Primary Care:

  Conduct well-child visits, physical exams, developmental screenings, and vaccinations.

• Diagnosis Treatment:

  Identify and manage acute illnesses, chronic conditions, injuries, and developmental issues.

• Counseling:

  Educate parents and children on nutrition, safety, hygiene, and managing conditions.

• Record Keeping:

  Maintain accurate, detailed patient medical records.

• Collaboration:

  Work with nurses, therapists, and other specialists for comprehensive care.

• Emergency Care:

  Respond to urgent medical needs.

• Holistic Well-being:

  Manage physical, mental, and emotional health across all developmental stages.

• Strong clinical diagnostic skills and medical knowledge

• Empathetic and patient-centered approach to care

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work effectively with children and their families

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and pediatric tools

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree

• Completion of an accredited pediatric residency program

• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics (e.g., ABP-certified)

• Valid and unrestricted medical license in the practicing state

• 2+ years of clinical experience in pediatric care preferred

• CPR and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
