Job Description

5-10 Yrs experience as Oracle DBA
Knowledge of data management principles, including data modelling, data warehousing, and data security, is important.
Experience with database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring, is required.
Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL is essential for managing and manipulating data within the Oracle database.
Proficiency in shell scripting (e.g., Unix or Linux) is helpful for automating tasks and managing the database environment.
Experience with database backup and recovery procedures is crucial for data protection and disaster recovery.
A bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field is generally preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for collaborating with other team members and communicating technical information to non-technical sers.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
Oracle certifications, such as Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), are highly regarded and demonstrate expertise in Oracle database technology. Job Responsibility
Performing routine maintenance tasks, monitoring database performance metrics, and proactively identifying and resolving issues.
Implementing and managing backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and disaster recovery capabilities.
Optimizing database performance through fine-tuning parameters, SQL queries, and system configurations.
Implementing and enforcing security measures, managing user access, roles, and permissions to protect sensitive data.
Diagnosing and resolving database-related issues, providing support to developers and other IT personnel.
Monitoring and managing database storage, space utilization, and planning for future growth.
Creating and maintaining documentation for database configurations, procedures, and generating performance reports.
