Sr Mortgage Process Associate

As a Mortgage Processor / Underwriter at our fast-growing U.S. mortgage processing company with a global presence, based in Technopark Kollam, Kerala, you will play a crucial role in supporting end-to-end mortgage operations for U.S.-based lenders and brokers. We are seeking experienced professionals in U.S. Mortgage Processing and Underwriting who are ambitious, detail-oriented, and eager to grow with us. Key Responsibilities: - Review loan applications and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness. - Coordinate with loan officers, borrowers, and third parties to gather required information. - Order and track appraisals, credit reports, title, VOEs, and other documentation. - Ensure compliance with U.S. mortgage regulations and company policies. - Maintain pipeline management and timely loan file submission. As a Mortgage Underwriter, your responsibilities will include: - Reviewing and analyzing credit, income, asset, and collateral documents. - Assessing borrower eligibility in line with U.S. agency and investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA). - Issuing underwriting decisions (Approve, Suspense, Deny) with clear conditions. - Mitigating risk by ensuring compliance with company, investor, and regulatory requirements. - Working closely with processors and loan officers to resolve file conditions. Required Qualifications: - Minimum 3+ years of experience in U.S. Mortgage Processing and/or Underwriting. - Strong knowledge of U.S. mortgage guidelines and compliance requirements. - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal in English). - Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. - Proficiency in LOS systems (LendingPad and Arive, or similar) is a plus.
