Job Description

Role Overview: As a Sr. Engineer- Mechanical in the MCAD CoE department at our company, you will play a vital role in providing design engineering support for customized orders, new product development, Value Engineering (VAVE), and improvement projects. Your responsibilities will include planning and overseeing engineering support activities, executing diverse projects from concept design to NPD, and maintaining organizational quality standards. You will work autonomously with minimal guidance and foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements and deadlines. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and contribute to design engineering support for customized orders, new product development, VAVE, and improvement projects. - Plan and oversee engineering support activities, ensuring high-quality output within specified timeframes. - Execute diverse projects ranging from concept design to NPD, Bills of Materials (BOM), CAD modeling, detailing, and Change Orders. - Drive the design and development of parts/assemblies, delivering comprehensive design packages. - Foster regular interaction with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project coordination. - Participate in customer and internal review meetings, providing insights and recommendations. - Provide accurate project estimations and uphold adherence to project management processes. - Maintain high standards of quality and schedule adherence as part of the Global Engineering Function. - Embrace additional responsibilities assigned by the organization diligently. Qualifications Required: - Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant exposure to design environment. - 5-8 years of experience on SolidWorks platform in Sheet metal domain is a must. - Expertise in 3D modeling, detailing work on SolidWorks, and generating Bills of Materials. - Working experience on any PLM tools, SolidWorks PLM & PD cloud experience will be an added advantage. - Knowledge and hands-on experience of sheet metal fabrication process. - Basic Electrical knowledge required, background in Busway & Switchgear experience preferred. - Experience in telecom/electrical enclosure design is an added advantage. - Strong interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively in English. - Self-motivated, disciplined, passionate, with willingness to learn and organized. - Experience in handling large CAD assemblies in SolidWorks and managing modifications as required.
