Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Robotics)

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Robotics & Automation

Experience: 4 - 6 Years

Location: DLF – Chennai

Mandatory skills - CAD TOOL (SOLIDWORKS, AUTO CAD), Hands on experience with AMRs, AGVs, COBOTS, GRIPPERS and ACTUATORS, Safety and Ergonomic Standards, GD&T Standards.

Qualification Required – B.E. Mechanical / Mechatronics

Role Overview:

A skilled Mechanical Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience in designing and integrating advanced robotic systems for industrial automation and warehouse management. The ideal candidate should have hands on expertise in AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots), AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), Collaborative Robots (Cobots), Delta Robots, Grippers and Actuators, and End of arm tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

Create mechanical designs for robotic systems including AMRs, AGVs, Cobots, and Delta Robots.

Develop material handling mechanisms such as conveyors, lifters, and grippers for integration with robotic platforms.

Collaborate with electrical and software teams to integrate mechanical systems with robotic control architectures.

Ensure compatibility with warehouse management systems and automation workflows.

Build and validate prototypes for mechanical assemblies.

Conduct performance and durability tests under real-world conditions.

Prepare detailed CAD models, BOMs, and technical documentation.

Optimize designs for cost, reliability, and ease of maintenance.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, kinematics, and dynamics.

Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Auto CAD)

Experience in robotic integration for AMRs, AGVs, Cobots, and Delta Robots.

Understanding of material handling systems and automation processes.

Familiarity with industrial standards for safety and compliance.

Ability to collaborate and work with cross-functional teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹59,904.90 per month
