Job Description

As a Transport Logistics Manager, your role involves overseeing the selection and management of Transport Vendors, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with safety regulations. Your responsibilities include: - Selection and induction of Transport Vendors, including optimization of Tank trucks at operating locations in line with HSE guidelines - Monitoring compliance with statutory norms, tracking performance of each Transporter, and addressing Terminal escalations for contract performance and safety improvements - Daily scheduling, planning, and execution of vehicle indents to ensure timely delivery and no pending requests - Handling operational issues related to loading, incidents en route, off-spec product handling, and addressing quality and delivery-related concerns - Timely closing of all supplied material POD and preparation of routine Logistics MIS reports - Coordination with sales teams, transporters, and terminals for smooth functioning and dispute resolution - Monitoring Vehicle Tracking System parameters for safety and initiating actions for better control - Arranging safety meetings and training sessions for drivers to ensure compliance with safety standards - Supporting accident/incident investigations and sharing transporter performance reports with the HO-Logistics team - Training new transporters/vendors on web billing processes and ensuring no disruptions in logistics leading to suppressed sales - Involvement in audit processes and closure of findings in a timely manner Additionally, you will be responsible for Customer Relationship Management, including resolving customer complaints, ensuring timely issue resolution, and coordinating with other departments for quality monitoring. Qualification Required: - BE, MBA (preferable) - 07 - 10 years of experience in Logistics/Terminal Operations - Excellent knowledge of Transportation Safety and technology implementation Your role will require knowledge of logistics operations, analytical thinking, expertise in Vehicle Tracking systems, and proficiency in MS Office applications. Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills will be essential for effective communication with various stakeholders.,
