For further information about Nomura, visit www.nomura.com This position will be part of the Group Platform Service and Engineering Platform Infrastructure Engineer team and will fit within the existing Engineering and Site Reliability Engineers. Within the team we will have, Software Engineers Developers, and Site Reliability Engineers, and a thin layer of Operations, forming a true DevOps team. The Engineering team member will be expected to work with peers in India and other global regions to enhance and maintain the existing GUI Application in Unity Core Services. He/ She must have solid development knowledge and hands on experience working as senior developer and individual contributor. Below are the key responsibilities of the Associate role: Analysing user requirements and creating/adapting software solutions that meet those requirements. Developing and maintaining software systems using programming languages such as C# WPF, .Net and Java script. Master in Windows development and familiar with related development tool. Basic knowledge/ familiarity in Python, Java, with DevOps culture, and Maven will be advantage. Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to ensure that software systems are delivered effectively and meet quality standards. Documenting software design, development, and maintenance processes to facilitate knowledge transfer and maintenance. Keeping up to date with new technologies and industry trends to ensure that software systems remain competitive. Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including user manuals and technical specifications. Troubleshooting issues that arise with software systems and working to resolve them as quickly as possible. In addition to these technical responsibilities, possess strong communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with others. Senior software engineers are also meant to mentor or training junior engineers, and for providing guidance to project managers and other stakeholders. Skills and qualifications: A bachelor s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Hands on experience in programming languages and tools, such as C# WPF, .Net, JavaScript. Experience with Windows programming. Must be familiar and worked with YAML, JSON, XML markup languages. Experience working with Change Management Requests and Incidents. Exposure to agile development practices. Enthusiasm and ability to learn and apply new technologies. Strong analytical problemsolving skills. Strong communication skills for cross team collaboration. Ability to influence business and IT stakeholders for continuous improvement. Demonstrated skills in working across multifunctional teams to bring increased business value through seeing the bigger picture, collaboration and alignment of diverse needs. A strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical audience, as well as influence and negotiate with stakeholders. Preferred Skills Experience of working in Financial IT 5+ years of development experience with C# WPF, along with basic knowledge in Java, Maven build tools. Experience in Postgress or MySql database. Experience integrating RESTful APIs.
