As a Senior Engineer in the solution architecture team at Verizon Business Group, you will play a crucial role in specifying solution architecture and design for wireline & wireless systems. Your responsibilities will include: - Coordinating with product owners, project management, and GTS development team to reach consensus on technical approaches, solutions, and design high-level architecture. - Delivering high level architecture for projects in VBG Wireline, Wireless, IoT segments as approved by the business. - Providing thought leadership and direction to collaborating organizations. - Conducting feasibility analysis, vendor evaluation, developing project plans, leading HLD effort, and supporting deployment. - Understanding complex architectures and communicating them effectively at both technical and executive levels. - Evangelizing best practices, system design principles, and adoption of new technologies. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. - Four or more years of relevant work experience. - Telecom BSS Domain Knowledge. - Experience in producing artifacts like HLD, Sequence Diagrams, Process flows, etc. - Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams and departments. - Good interpersonal and communication skills with the discipline to document decisions. - Experience in defining and following standards while being adaptable to changes. - Experience in assessing As-Is system processes and proposing To-Be system processes. - Previous software development experience (C, C++, Java, Python, etc.). Preferred qualifications include: - Advanced degree in computer science. - Familiarity with TM Forum standards such as eTOM, Open APIs, ODA, etc. - Experience in micro front end and microservices architecture. - Familiarity with cloud computing/virtualization technologies. - Understanding of Gen AI tools and platforms. - Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture Framework like TOGAF.
