Team Overview :
Target's Circlecard Platform Services is an amazing group of engineers based in TII, responsible for development and stability of high impact financial products and services within Enterprise tech. This team owns the data platform for sourcing and handling Target Circlecard in both credit/debit spaces. Handling Credit card Payments and reporting is one of its core capabilities besides platforms for guest engagement and fraud preventing. We are looking for passionate engineers willing to join hands with us as we transform our capabilities using next gen technologies creating a positive impact for our business teams and guests.
About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong background in product development to join our growing Circlecard Platform services team. In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of complex features and help drive the architecture and technical direction of our applications. You will work closely with product managers, leads and fellow engineers to deliver intuitive, performant, and scalable software.Experience or interest in Generative AI (GenAI) application development is a strong plus, as we are exploring the integration of cutting-edge AI capabilities into our products.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the design, development, testing, and deployment of full-stack features across our product portfolio
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Architect and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs
Build responsive and user-centric front-end interfaces using modern frameworks
Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to best practices
Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Proficient with applying and implementing security concepts such as identifying vulnerabilities in software, creating logic to detect malicious behavior, and analyzing network or host artifacts to identify security risks or attacks.
Partner with teams to prioritize and improve security and reduce risk across enterprise
Explore and prototype integrations of GenAI capabilities (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings) into our applications
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience in full stack development with a strong understanding of both frontend and backend technologies
2+ years of experience supporting critical production systems
Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular)
Expertise in backend technologies (e.g., Kotlin/micronaut,java,spring, Python) and API development (REST, GraphQL)
Experience integrating with Kafka, storage services, data warehouses will be preferred
Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL), cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of infrastructure/software and how these systems are secured, analyzed, and investigated. Hands on with shell scripts, Chef, etc..
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Hands-on experience with GenAI tools and frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, vector databases)
Familiarity with prompt engineering and LLM fine-tuning
Preferred skills
Understanding of security compliance requirements (e.g. PCI-DSS,GLBA and SOX), and how to implement requirements at a technology level.
Experience building AI-powered features into production applications
