Sr. Engineer, AVP

The Sr. Engineer, AVP role at Deutsche Bank is based in Pune, India. As part of the TDI Engineering unit, you will be responsible for managing desktop, end user automation, engineering, and collaboration tools to support teams across the bank. The primary objective is to provide enterprise development tools as services to enhance the maturity levels of processes within the organization. In this role, you will be involved in designing, deploying, and maintaining developer tools, serving as a subject matter expert on operational knowledge and requirements. Collaborating with the product owner, level 2/3 teams, vendor contacts, and the engineering team, you will handle daily operational tasks and long-term projects related to application deployments, upgrades, migrations, and compliance with bank policies and standards. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with clients to deliver high-quality software within an agile development lifecycle - Define and evolve component architectures and contribute to architectural decisions at department and bank-wide levels - Utilize industry knowledge to solve problems, implement design patterns, and support CI/CD pipelines - Contribute to domain goals, ensuring consistent standards in software development - Implement robust engineering practices and functionalities using modern technologies - Manage the engineering team and work with product managers on architectural roadmaps - Ensure quality and timely delivery against demand Skills and Experience: - Strong understanding of SOLID, DRY, KISS practices, and pair programming - Hands-on experience in software development using modern languages like Spring, Java, UI frameworks like Angular, micro-services, and containers - Proficiency in database architecture, especially Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB - Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, DevOps, and tools in GCP - Experience with TDD and BDD The role offers a wide range of benefits, including a best-in-class leave policy, parental leaves, childcare assistance, sponsorship for certifications, employee assistance programs, insurance coverage, and health screenings.
