Job Summary: As an Electrical Design Engineer at BW Design Group, you will collaborate with engineering teams to design technical solutions meeting clients" business needs. Working alongside licensed engineers and experienced designers, you will focus on designing power distribution and lighting systems for industrial and commercial facilities. Responsibilities: - Coordinate power utility tasks - Design 277/480V building services - Perform power distribution calculations including switchboards, panel boards, transformers, wire sizing, voltage drop, conduit fill, and cable tray sizing - Select Motors, Drives, PLC, and IO modules - Prepare design criteria, one-line diagrams, and specifications for electrical equipment - Size and select UPS for SCADA system and three-phase inverters - Design industrial control panels (PLC, RIO, VFD) - Create wiring and conduit drawings using AutoCAD - Assist in resolving Change Request Notices and Request for Information related to electrical engineering - Develop grounding and bonding plans for new equipment - Generate electrical drawings using AutoCAD Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Requirements: - Minimum 6 to 8 years of Electrical panel design experience - Preferred experience in Food, Beverage, or Pharmaceutical Facilities or Industry Engineering - Proficiency in preparing single line diagrams, panel IGA & OGA drawings, and Schematics based on technical specifications - Ability to perform calculations, select Motors, Drives, AC, conduct load calculations, and make cable selections based on application & design standards - Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems - Prepare technical drawings, electrical system specifications, and customer requirements - Write progress reports and present findings to project managers and clients - Familiarity with standards such as UL508A, IEC, NEMA - Tools Knowledge: AutoCAD Electrical, Eplan P8 - Skilled in producing electrical designs in multi-discipline projects - Proficiency in AutoCAD software - Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels - General computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Barry-Wehmiller values the diverse experiences and talents individuals bring beyond technical qualifications.
