Sr. Editor and Subject Matter Expert (Science and Social Science)

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Manuscript Editor. In this role, you will be responsible for editing, evaluating, and enhancing manuscripts submitted by authors to ensure the final production meets our quality standards. You will work closely with authors, artists, designers, and external editors to deliver projects on time and coordinate with vendors as needed. Key Responsibilities: - Edit and evaluate manuscripts to ensure accuracy, coherence, and adherence to guidelines - Manage projects to meet agreed-upon deadlines - Collaborate with various stakeholders including authors, artists, designers, and external editors - Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and support the sales team - Assist in the proposal of new projects and improvements to existing textbooks - Recruit and oversee freelance editors Qualifications: - Master's degree in Science/Social Science fields - 3 to 5 years of prior experience in an Educational Publishing firm, specifically in the K-12 segment - Proficient in English with excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills - Strong organizational and project management abilities - Experience in team management and mentoring - Effective communication and interpersonal skills This is a full-time position based at our office in Pitampura, Delhi.
