Managing Editor / Sr. Editor

As a leading educational publishing house in India, Sunbeam Publishers Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our team in the role of a Manuscript Editor. Located in New Delhi, our company is known for producing high-quality educational books for the K-12 segment, in alignment with the guidelines of various educational boards such as CBSE and ICSE. As a Manuscript Editor, your primary responsibilities will include evaluating, editing, and enhancing manuscripts submitted by authors for final production. You will be expected to manage projects efficiently to meet agreed-upon schedules, while collaborating with authors, artists, designers, external editors, and vendors. Additionally, you will actively participate in training sessions, contribute to new project proposals, and identify potential freelance editors and authors. To qualify for this role, you must hold a Master's degree in English or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of prior experience in an Educational Publishing firm focused on the K-12 segment. Proficiency in the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling, is essential. Strong organizational and project management skills are required, as well as the ability to lead and mentor a team of editors. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also key attributes for success in this position. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pitampura, Delhi.
