Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Editor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a documentary editing expert who can independently deliver complete projects from start to finish. You must be proficient in DaVinci Resolve and have a deep understanding of storytelling, pacing, and narrative structure.
Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-End Project Management: Take full ownership of editing projects, from initial footage review to final delivery.

Expert in DaVinci Resolve: Utilize advanced editing techniques, colour grading, and sound design to enhance the quality of our documentaries.

Narrative Development: Work closely with directors and writers to shape the story, ensuring it aligns with Prachyam\u2019s mission and vision.

All-Round Editing Skills: Handle various aspects of post-production, including video editing, audio mixing, colour correction, and visual effects.

Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments (motion graphics, sound, etc.) to ensure a cohesive final product.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and accuracy.

Mission Alignment: Ensure that the content created aligns with the values of Prachyam, particularly in promoting Indian culture, history, and values.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in documentary editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

Technical Skills: Mastery of DaVinci Resolve; proficiency in other editing software is a plus.

Storytelling: Exceptional understanding of narrative structure and pacing.

Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail, with the ability to deliver polished, error-free content.

Independence: Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

Cultural Sensitivity: Deep understanding and appreciation of Indian history, culture, and values.

Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
