About the Role:
Shades of India is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Fashion Designer / PD Designer to support our export clients in the US and UK markets. The ideal candidate should be passionate about fashion and textiles, with strong design sensibility and technical understanding of garments and product development.
Key Responsibilities:
Work on product development based on PD packs received from international buyers.
Interpret and implement complex buyer comments with precision.
Develop accurate samples based on patterns and technical specifications.
Collaborate with the sampling and production team to ensure alignment on design intent and execution.
A good eye for fabrics, textures, and materials, with awareness of trends and innovation
Ability to work on tech packs, spec sheets, and detailed design documentation
Proficient in design tools like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Required Skills & Qualifications:
2–3 years of relevant experience in fashion/product design for export clients (US/UK preferred).
Strong understanding of pattern making and the ability to read and interpret patterns.
Ability to respond effectively to detailed technical and aesthetic comments from buyers.
