Job Description

Sr. Data Engineer

Responsibilities

Design and implement Data Vault 2.0 models (Hubs, Links, Satellites) using best practices.

Define and maintain taxonomy and ontology frameworks for domain separation and agility.

Build scalable data pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer .

Implement governance, classification, quality rules, and lineage using Dataplex .

Develop complex SQL transformations and optimize performance for analytical workloads.

Collaborate with architecture, product, and analytics teams to deliver governed, scalable data models.

Experience:

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or analytics engineering roles.

Strong hands-on experience in Data Vault modelling & design .

Advanced SQL skills and strong data warehousing fundamentals.

Practical experience with GCP BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, and Dataplex .

Knowledge of taxonomy, ontology , and metadata-driven modelling practices.

Exposure to Workday data structures and HR/People Analytics domain understanding.

Exposure to dbt , Snowflake , or Databricks .

Familiarity with CI/CD and cloud-native engineering best practices.

Good analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
