The Opportunity: We are looking for versatile, curious, and energetic Data Engineers who thrive on solving complex challenges on a global scale. As a Data Engineer at Visa, you will be an integral part of a multi-functional development team, working on architecting intricate big data systems and developing diverse analytical practices to address complex data challenges. You will leverage your comprehensive knowledge of ETL and data engineering techniques to develop and maintain data and tools that provide self-service capabilities to business users. While solving or consuming large transactional data, you will work with powerful payment technology and witness your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions. Your ability to work across functions and teams will drive results and foster a culture of engineering excellence and innovation. Key Responsibilities : A growth mindset that is curious and passionate about technologies and enjoys challenging projects on a global scale Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions. Ensure data security and compliance with best practices and regulations. Utilize tools like Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Scala, Python, and SQL for data analysis and processing. Apply knowledge of Agentic AI and Generative AI models, including GPT-3 and GPT-4, to develop innovative data solutions. Create innovative prototypes and regularly influence senior leadership through continuous prototyping. Work effectively both as a team member and independently with minimal supervision. Basic Qualifications: 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications: 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor s Degree or more than 2 years
