Sr. Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer at PRI India IT Services Pvt Ltd, located in Pune with a hybrid work model of 3 days in office and a general shift schedule with occasional extended hours for audits/releases, your role will involve working with a range of technologies and tools to develop scalable data and analytics solutions. You will be expected to have expertise in the MSBI Stack, including SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and Power BI, with a strong command of DAX and MDX skills. Proficiency in SQL Server and Oracle for optimized query writing is essential. While not mandatory, knowledge of Big Data Tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Impala would be advantageous, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Your responsibilities will include building and deploying ETL processes and data pipelines for handling petabytes of data. Familiarity with IT Service Management and Agile methodologies, particularly BMC Remedy for incident/change/problem management and understanding Agile ceremonies like Scrum and backlog grooming, would be beneficial. Additional skills such as an understanding of secure file transfer protocols (SFTP), providing L1/L2 support (approximately 50% of workload), and the potential for future cloud usage (Azure/AWS) are preferred. While certifications are not mandatory, a Power BI certification would be considered a bonus. In addition to technical skills, strong written and verbal communication, adaptability to handle ad hoc requests, and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams and understand Agile workflows are essential soft skills for this role.
