As a Sr. Cloud Engineer, your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with the engineering team to identify and implement optimal cloud-based solutions. - Planning, designing, and developing cloud-based applications. - Managing cloud environments following company security guidelines. - Deploying and debugging cloud initiatives according to best practices. - Educating teams on new cloud-based initiatives and providing necessary training. - Demonstrating problem-solving skills to address issues proactively. - Designing RESTful services using APIs and integrating them with existing data providers. - Leading and developing best practices for the Cloud Engineer team. - Building geographically redundant web services in the cloud. - Orchestrating and automating cloud-based platforms across the company. - Staying updated with industry trends and making recommendations for company improvement. The qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/IT or Engineering. - Certification as an Azure/AWS Solutions Architect is an added advantage. - Five years of experience in software development using languages like Java, Python, C++, or Ruby. - Experience with SOA applications, cloud-based services, OpenStack, Linux/UNIX, Docker, and Microsoft Azure. - 2 to 4 years of experience in a Cloud Engineer role. - Knowledge of web services, APIs, REST, RPC, networking protocols, and database systems. - Strong communication, organizational skills, and a keen interest in Cloud Engineering.
