Sr. Chemist / Lead Chemist - QA @ Dahej B

Role & responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate Quality assurance activities to ensure continuous production consistent with established quality & regulatory standards to support manufacturing and timely delivery of products to customers.
• To ensure analytical methods are developed for all planned products, related raw materials and packaging.
• Monitoring laboratory data and metrics on a regular basis to ensure that appropriate investigation, corrective action, and/or escalation is conducted.
• Drive investigation in case of non-conforming results.
• Identify training needs.
• To plan and monitor activities of labs as well shop floor inspection.
• To ensure & plan timely calibration of all the equipments and instruments.
• Documentation for ISO, IATF and other specific certifications.

• Understanding of customer specifications and development of MSDS, COA and other such documents for dispatch to customers.
• Provide samples to dispatch dept with all relevant details like manufacturing date & packing /storage details from concerned group leader & accordingly send the sample along with packing details
• Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
• Preparation and revision of documents required by standards and organization
• Compliance to IMS standards by keeping records updated.
• Conduct internal audits
• Collecting, collating and documenting laboratory metrics for presentation to management.
• Improve soft skills of group members.
• Counseling and coaching of group members as and when required.
• Training group members for implementation of SOPs and working with SAP modules.
• Resolving conflicts
• Knowledge sharing meetings

Preferred candidate profile

• Total experience around 5 to 10 yrs.
• Experience in large and leading chemical complex will be added advantage
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949 and OHSAS 18001 Management systems and auditing
• Practice of online SAP system for QA-QC documentation.
• Fluent in English.
• IATF certified internal auditor
• Good analytical ability and having exposure to root cause analysis
• Influencing and assertiveness skills to bring in quality mindset
• Very good understanding of Chemistry and operational issues
