As a Senior Category Specialist EMobility at Eaton based in Pune, India, you will be instrumental in driving all supplier-related metrics, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and leading the development of effective category strategies. Your primary focus will encompass delivering cost savings, mitigating price increases, improving working capital, and enhancing resiliency within the electronics category. You will be tasked with managing the entire sourcing process for electronics components, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring full alignment of sourcing strategies with Category leads of respective commodities. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with various functions such as operations, quality, logistics, and engineering for resourcing and rationalization efforts - Oversee the complete sourcing process for the electronics category, specifically involving electronics components - Identify and engage with suppliers that offer the optimal mix of price, service, and quality - Plan and execute negotiation events to secure cost-effective contracts and favorable commercial agreements with suppliers - Drive global resiliency metrics of eMob, with a particular emphasis on data and core resiliency systems - Conduct supplier market analysis, category analysis, and supply risk analysis - Develop a comprehensive understanding of total cost of ownership (TCO) and identify areas for improvement within the sourcing process - Proactively discover opportunities for cost savings and take charge of assigned savings initiatives - Ensure effective follow-up activities for contract management are implemented - Provide support to plants in addressing material shortage situations Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering, preferably in Electrical/Electronics - Minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience with at least 4 years of relevant experience in procurement of Electrical & Electronic Components and strategic sourcing In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, health, wellness, inclusion & diversity are deeply ingrained in the company's values and vision.
