Job Description

Role: Sr BSP Engineer/Lead

Location: Hyderabad/Bangalore

Work Model: Work From Office

The BSP (Board Support Package) team is responsible for developing and maintaining the software layer that enables OS to run on a wide range of hardware platforms, ensuring compatibility, performance, and reliability across devices.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of BSP components, including device drivers and firmware
Oversee integration of new hardware platforms, collaborating closely with hardware vendors and internal teams.
Ensure robust testing and validation of BSP components across diverse hardware.
Drive resolution of BSP-related issues and defects, ensuring high compatibility and reliability.
Team Management:
Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
Set clear goals, provide actionable feedback, and support career growth for team members.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with hardware, manufacturing, QA, and product teams to deliver seamless hardware-software integration.
Represent the BSP team in cross-org initiatives and communicate progress to leadership.
Process & Quality:
Establish and maintain best practices for BSP development, validation, and release.
Monitor and report on key metrics (e.g., compatibility rate, defect reduction, test coverage).

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
8~ 14 years of experience in embedded systems, device drivers, or BSP development.
Proven experience leading engineering teams or projects in a similar domain.
Deep understanding of Linux kernel, Android AOSP, and hardware-software integration.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
