Sr. Associate - Financial Analyst

Role Overview: NEC Software Solutions (India) Private Limited is seeking a Sr. Associate for the position of Finance Offshore Head in Mumbai. The role involves working with the Senior Business Partner and other members of the NEC Finance team to provide accurate financial information to operational P&L owners and their management teams. The job requires completing month-end closing, variance analysis, financial planning, and assisting in ad hoc analysis and reporting. The position is based on a hybrid work model with 12 days in the office per month during UK working hours. Key Responsibilities: - Own the Month end closing process, conduct variance analysis, and finalize the business segment P&L - Prepare financial reports by analyzing information on key performance indicators, revenue, costs, sales, and expenses - Assist senior business partners in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting - Update headcount analysis, review data accuracy for BUs, and prepare business review packs - Generate billing reports, perform monthly analysis, and support in ad hoc analysis and reporting Qualification Required: - Industry experience of 3-5 years, preferably in a software-based business - Strong analytical skills, good accounting experience, and proficiency in Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables) - End user experience of SAP and TM1 would be advantageous - Ability to work independently, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment - Commitment to personal development, excellent communication skills, and ownership of problem-solving - Strong academic background with an accounting degree or qualification, or a business-based degree with an accounting module Please note: The Company, NEC Software Solutions (India) Private Limited, has over 30 years of experience in providing end-to-end IT services across various sectors.
