Sr. Architecture/Structural Designer (Civil 3D AutoCAD)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architectural/Structural Designer to lead the development of detailed architectural, structural drawings and documentation for complex infrastructure projects. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, constructability, and compliance of architectural designs in sectors such as Water treatment, substations, Oil & Gas, and Public infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed structural drawings for concrete infrastructure components and Steel Structure Drawings using CADD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit).
• Interpret and translate engineering and architectural plans into precise fabrication and construction documents.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to resolve design issues and ensure constructability.
• Produce detailed architectural drawings and documentation using CAD/BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, etc.) for infrastructure facilities.
• Interpret architectural and engineering specifications to develop accurate construction documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, MEP, and civil engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable API codes, Saudi standards (e.g., SBC, Royal Commission (RCJY)), and client specifications.
• Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Generate material take-offs and quantity estimates for procurement and cost estimation.
• Maintain drawing records and revision logs, ensuring traceability and version control.
• Participate in design reviews and clash detection using 3D modelling tools.
• Mentor junior detailers and provide technical guidance on detailing standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Minimum 812 years of experience in structural detailing, architectural detailing, with a focus on infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Proficiency in CAD/BIM software such as AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, Revit, or similar.
• Strong understanding of structural systems, fabrication processes, and construction sequencing.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and detailing standards for industrial and utility buildings.
• Familiarity with international and local building codes and infrastructure-specific standards.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with building detailing, precast elements, and rebar detailing.
• Experience with BIM coordination and 3D modelling workflows
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience working with government or public sector infrastructure projects. Projects involving water treatment plants, electrical substations, oil & gas facilities, or public sector infrastructure.
• Knowledge of sustainable design practices and LEED/GREEN building standards.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments and manage multiple deadlines.
